Exhibition of 64 original artworks throughout hotel complemented by exclusive new expert-led art tour
Boho boutique hotel The Pavilions Madrid has embarked on a new creative collaboration with esteemed gallery and art academy, El Taller del Prado, transforming its guest rooms and public spaces into an extraordinary platform for contemporary art. Curated by Professor Francisco Molina Montero, the exhibition features 64 pieces from the extensive El Taller del Prado collection, including lithographs and engravings by some of Spain’s most renowned contemporary artists – as well as original posters designed by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies. Hotel guests can also enjoy exclusive access to a new expert-led art experience, beginning on the breathtaking rooftop of cultural institution, the Circulo de Bellas Artes, followed by a private tour of the Taller.

Among the works selected by Prof. Molina are lithographs and engravings by renowned Spanish contemporary artists such as Rafael Canogar, Luis Feito, Eduardo Chillida, Ouka Leele, Cristina de Middel and Joaquin Capa. The collection is displayed in The Pavilions Madrid’s stunning lobby area, while at least one piece has been installed in each of the 29 rooms and suites, providing guests with a unique opportunity to appreciate them in a truly private viewing.
A multifaceted art hub headquartered on Madrid’s Calle Gran Via, El Taller del Prado is dedicated to the permanent exhibition of its collection of over 5,000 artworks; monographic exhibitions and art project presentations; conferences and events; and the training of new artists at its in-house academy. Its two galleries in the historic centre of the capital are complemented by framing and stamping workshops and a digitisation and photography studio. Originating from the historic atelier founded by Blanca Escrivá de Romaní at 26 Prado Street, founder and current director Francisco Molina conceived El Taller del Prado as a space where all artistic expressions could coexist harmoniously. Since then, the gallery has devoted itself to promoting graphic arts, staging outstanding exhibitions and establishing a reputation as an art publisher responsible for books on the most influential Spanish artists – not to mention the remarkable limited edition magazine Enigma, showcasing original, unpublished graphic work by leading contemporary artists.
Located on a quiet residential street, close to Plaza de Colón in the city centre, The Pavilions Madrid is just a few steps away from Spain’s most important museums and art galleries, electrifying nightlight, and vibrant shopping scene. Renowned as a haven for art lovers, The Pavilions Madrid has previously collaborated on an in-hotel exhibition with the prestigious Galería Álvara Alcázar.
The Pavilions Madrid x El Taller del Prado Art Experience package starts from €423 (approx. GBP363) per person, including the private art tour and one-of-a-kind gift, and three nights’ B&B accommodation for two sharing a double room. Art tours available at 1800hrs Monday – Thursday only.
