Five-star luxury boutique resort Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana in Bali, Indonesia has selected London-based independent travel and lifestyle PR agency Frog & Wolf PR to handle its public relations strategy and activities in the UK, effective from 1 March 2025.
Moored among the rice paddies on the fringes of the artists’ village of Ubud, Tanah Gajah was conceived by Hendra Hadiprana, a legendary Indonesian architect and designer, during his honeymoon in the 1960s. On discovering the breathtaking six-hectare plot set amid peaceful rice paddy fields in the heart of the rural landscape, he fell in love with it and resolved to create a sanctuary there for his family. This vision led to the first iteration of Tanah Gajah in the 1980s, based on Hadiprana’s deep passion for art and Indonesian heritage that seamlessly blends traditional Balinese elements with contemporary aesthetics. Previously managed by The Chedi Club under GHM management, the estate was revived by Hadiprana Hospitality in 2020 as an intimate luxury resort.
Today, Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana, is a serene hideaway of 24 villas and suites adorned with unique original Balinese artworks from Hadiprana’s private collection. Accommodation ranges from elegant, newly launched Premier One-Bedroom Club Pool Villas with semi outdoor bathtub and private pools overlooking serene rice paddy fields and Mount Agung, to spacious family villas perfect for a special getaway, and the prestigious Hadiprana Estate - an opulent residence fit for the most discerning of guests. The resort’s F&B offerings, crafted by Executive Chef Dean Nor, include The Tempayan, an open-air culinary haven housed in a traditional Balinese pavilion design, offering an architectural marvel amidst serene rice paddies, and serving authentic Balinese and Western cuisines. The Panen Padi Lounge, once the private residence of the Hadipranas, now serves an elevated afternoon tea with panoramic views of the gardens and tranquil swan pond. The ceiling is beautifully embellished by a mural that narrates the family’s journey and the vision of cherished sanctuary, celebrating the beginnings of Tanah Gajah Ubud. The Spa offers a serene escape amidst nature’s embrace, whilst an array of signature experiences is designed to immerse guests in local culture and traditions, as well as offer access to the stunning surrounding countryside.
Deasy Swandarini, General Manager of Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana, commented, “We are delighted to be working with Frog & Wolf PR to further strengthen our market presence, especially with the majority of our guests coming from the UK and Europe.
