Between September 2023 and January 2024, Amilla Maldives will welcome four spa practitioners for a series of on-island residencies bringing internationally renowned treatments and techniques to resort guests. Claire O’Sullivan, Paul Emery, Ashish Tripathi, and Katrina Valente will each offer their own distinctive specialties to Amilla’s guests in the thoughtfully curated wellness series encompassing holistic therapies, natural medicine, mind-body treatments, and anti-ageing facials. The perfect host to the four-part programme, Amilla’s Javvu Spa offers a tranquil jungle sanctuary a stone's throw away from the crystal clear water and white sandy beach of the resort.
Taking residence from 7 to 18 September, renowned naturopath and wellness coach, Claire O’Sullivan will lead Amilla’s inaugural Pause Retreat - the Maldives’ first-ever perimenopause- and menopause-focused wellbeing retreat. The series of personalised four-day wellbeing journeys explores natural ways to boost female hormones, while educating and empowering women to adapt to this natural biological process through intuitive movement, nutrition, and mindful activities. Five-night Pause Retreat packages start from USD5,915++ (approx. GBP4,709++) per person including accommodation, full board, and all inclusions of the comprehensive retreat programme.
From 5 October - 5 November 2023, the second visiting practitioner at Amilla will be Paul Emery who incorporates techniques and practices from nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness into his neuroscience touch-based mind-body treatments. Paul is a trusted name in the holistic health and wellness field, following 20 years of experience around the world and 35 years of research and training with prominent doctors, neuroscientists and therapists. The Peaceful Mind Solution (USD300++ / 80 mins) is Paul’s signature treatment, and is offered alongside The Restful Sleep Programme, The Healthy Weight Journey, and The Vitality Restoration Programme (all USD300++ / 50 to 80mins) and The Inner Harmony Meditation Experience (USD250++ / 50mins).
The third practitioner will be Ashish Tripathi, who will bring his 14 years of experience in the field of natural medicine to Amilla from 10 November - 15 December 2023. A registered naturopath and acupuncturist, Ashish promotes relaxation and enhances overall wellbeing through treatments tailored to individual needs following an Ayurvedic consultation. Ashish’s treatments include Five Element Acupuncture (USD225++ / 45mins), Yogic Detox (USD300++ / 120 mins), and Royal Indian Head Massage (USD200++ / 60mins).
Finally, the last practitioner to wrap up the programme will be Katrina Valente, from 19 December 2023 - 19 January 2024. Katrina specialises in facials and integrates methods using frequency techniques, deep tissue, and regression therapy. Guests of Amilla can expect an array of facials, including Radio-Frequency Ultra Firming Facial (USD410++ / 75mins), Deep Tissue Facial Massage (USD330++ / 60mins), and DMK Facelift (USD440++ / 75mins).

About Amilla Maldives A large, verdant natural island in the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, Amilla Maldives is an enchanting space for families, friends and couples to roam and play. Most of its 67 Villas and Residences are gracefully elevated over crystal clear waters, nestled among the treetops or hug the pristine shores; to venture through the island’s white sand fringe into its shaded heart reveals a surprisingly wild, green place – the inspiration for its organic garden-to-table concept. The resort’s Homemade@Amilla and Homegrown@Amilla initiatives are manifestations of a heartfelt commitment towards sustainability and resourcefulness. Indigenous ingredients - sea almonds, screwpines, countless coconuts, fragrant frangipani - are celebrated alongside the homemade, homegrown and homebrewed, bringing personality and vigour to nutritious, immunity-boosting menus. While not strictly a wellness resort, embracing dietary lifestyles is an intuitive part of Amilla’s Wellness Your Way, a fresh, holistic and highly customised approach to wellness that encompasses nutrition, mindfulness, movement and spa.
